Just finished with a 17 hour work day.

Other than the utter exhaustion, this independent contracting gig is a pretty sweet deal.

I'm going to go and die now.

5 month old adorable little bastard. A labrador mix, basically a mutt.

I am currently taking suggestions for names.

Current leaders are: Stewart, Noodle, Earl, Doctor, Carlin, Brock, Tyler, Samson, Sasuke, Randy, Ampersand, Zeus (say it with a Brazilian accent "Zayues"), Jersey, Taco, Boychick(yiddish), Stark, Jesus(spanish, so "hey-seus"), Manji, Nacho, Hellboy, and Elvis.

Some of those are jokes - can you tell which? - but I seriously am looking for suggestions.

I pick him up this comming tuesday.

Almost forgot, two days until patriotic pandering reaches maximum levels of saturation.

Eventually Ill write about my visit to groundzero.

So, Bleach is going premier on [adult swim] tonight at 12:30.
Why am I not super pissed about this? Several reasons.

1st: It's going to be on [as] so that means no edits, no digital blood removal or any other such idiocy.

2nd: Viz is the american rights holder for the anime as well as the manga which means it will be treated with the respect it deserves.

3rd: The two voices that I have heard in the previews are good and sound like the characters should sound.

4th: They are translating Shinigami as "Soul Reapers". While a more accurate translation is "Death God" they end up saying it quite a bit and saying Death Gods or Gods of Death all the time would sound silly.
Not sure how they are going to translate Zanpakutō but it will surely be some combination of the words "soul" "sword" "blade" or "slayer"

Awake for 24 hours and counting, running on no sleep.

Driving up to Boston and back today.

Amazing how motivated one can become when being well paid.

So, yea. The 22nd seems to have come and gone and we are all still here.

Things that are and have been going on:


Did a little animation for someone in DRC over the weekend. Ended up being a good test of seeing how fast and efficiently I can work. I also have a new character with a great rig to work with as a result.

Continuing to work on the game project for Dustin's group. Easy work, but I can see why he warned me about their group leader, can't imagine having to work with him everyday.

Bought a new Hard Drive the other day, 400GB Seagate. High quality and very reliable, I know 5 people that have and love them. There are supposed to be 1TB models on the market around the new year - like I don't have enough drives already.

Had a vivid dream last night where I kicked Doug's ass, it was amusing but somthing else happened as well that has me thinking.

And finally; My Bodyartforms order arrives tomorrow according to UPS. Yay.

Back in Florida as of 6pm today.

Apartment is in better shape than I remember leaving it.
Cable and internet are now turned back on.
Some of my plants are dead, the ones I actually give a shit about are fine though.
Pinta is a little skinnier than when I left but otherwise just as lizardy as ever.

Found a nice little surprise waiting for me when I unpacked my bag.

Fuck-all-Edit: ARGH, my fucking car got towed! The latest it happened had to be late last nigh and I have received no notification. Im going to need to get a ride from someone once I find out where the hell it is.

I just hope it doesn't cost me too much to get it back, like money isn't tight enough as it is.
